Held Photography Training for 2 Days, YAGASU's Efforts to Improve the Quality of Its Staff

Medan, March 2020, Photography hobbies are now widely favored by the community because of the development of good technology by using professional cameras to smartphone applications. Not just aiming at images alone, producing quality photos is also needed as proof of documentation in reporting in the world of work. This time, the Sumatran Elephant Foundation (YAGASU) successfully conducted a two-day photography training specifically for all staff at the Office Meeting Room located at No. Sei Galang Street. 23 25 This terrain.

The training which was attended by 21 people from all internal staff also invited a trainer who is a reliable photographer from Medan, Andi Lubis. This man from Medan who is an expert in the world of photography gave theoretical material on the first day, Saturday, February 22, 2020 and continued on the second day with direct photography activities in the field, starting from the practice of taking photos during nurseries, planting and making batik, located in the Mangrove Area, Tanjung Rejo, Deli Serdang on Monday, February 24, 2020 starting at 08.00 until 17:00 WIB.

Meilinda Suriani Harefa as Program Director of Yagasu said that the training was also based on the awareness that no matter how good and good the activities carried out by staff in the field, without being well documented and then the relevant parties were unable to receive and capture the documentation presented, the meaning and the benefits of the activity will only stop at the time, people and location of the activity. "Therefore in addition to carrying out restoration activities in the form of nurseries, planting, forestry patrols on the development of organic batik, conservative fisheries development through silvofishery ponds, ecotourism development to scientific research which is YAGASU's core program. YAGASU is also tasked with disseminating the results obtained to partners as a form of our responsibility. "

But realize, photography training activities are not easy. High awareness and accuracy are needed as well as sufficient skills to be able to produce quality, interesting and interactive documentation. On the other hand, the rapid development of technology and media requires special efforts to improve photography skills in existing human resources. Not only that, at the end of the activity, YAGASU also held a photography competition for all staff and took 1,2 and 3 champions as a form of appreciation from the results of the training which was very important in the current millennial era.

Furthermore, Meilinda hopes that this training can add to the skills of the staff in the art of photography. With the increasing insight and skills gained from the training, hopefully in the future the quality of YAGASU staff will be better.
