ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION

“SEKOLAH ALAM”

To educate and raise awareness of the younger generation about the importance of preserving nature, Yagasu launched the “Sekolah Alam” (Nature School) program. This program is designed as a forum for environmental education for the younger generation, teaching them important values in ecosystem conservation and sustainable practices from an early age.

Through Nature School, we hope to build a younger generation that cares more and is responsible for nature. With more and more young people who have an understanding and awareness of the environment, we are optimistic that the future of our environment will be more secure. Our Nature School provides outdoor learning activities with an interactive approach and direct experience, such as tree planting, camping, recycling waste into useful products, and how to manage natural resources responsibly.

This program also provides practical knowledge about biodiversity and current environmental challenges, such as climate change and habitat degradation.

Support for education

Yagasu also demonstrated its commitment to supporting education by launching a free school boat for students in Pulau Kampai, North Sumatra.. This initiative aims to make it easier for children to travel to school, reducing barriers to accessing education due to transport limitations.

This programme is part of Yagasu’s efforts to support education and environmental sustainability in coastal areas. Going forward, Yagasu plans to continue developing similar initiatives to improve community welfare and ensure that every child has better access to education.
