Mangrove-Based Food Processing Training
Yagasu Team conducted training on food processing from mangrove fruit with mothers and young people in Danau Siombak, Paya Pasir, Medan Marelan District. The abundance of Mangrove fruit around Danau Siombak is a shame if it is not utilized, the Mangrove fruit can be used as food and drinks that are nutritious and have economic value.
The Mangrove preparations that were given training to mothers and young people at Danau Siombak this time were training on making syrup and jam from Berembang fruit, and making chips from Jeruju leaves.
We hope that with the implementation of this food processing training, the mothers and the young people in Lake Siombak can increase their source of income through the processing of mangroves that are widely available in Lake Siombak.
